C234 The Story of the White Snake

C234 The Story of the White Snake

1The snakefoot elder is dead.     2

Apache didn't have any ill feelings towards the Snake-Legged Elder. Although the elder liked flying leaves, liked to brag, and liked to hit him at any time, Apache didn't think it was a big deal.

He had long gotten used to it.

Now, he was going to get used to the days when the Snake-Legged Elder wasn't around.

Thanks to the Snake-Legged Elder's blessing, his family was not hurt at all - but this did not include his mother. That old and weak old lady was frightened in this chaotic battle and passed away in a few days.

Undead, living corpses, gods. These things only existed in legends to Apache, or in the boastful words of the Snake-Legged Elder. However, after meeting the broken armor, these strange things had gradually integrated into Apache's life, and were inseparable from Apache.

The broken armor had already left, saying that it had followed the Snake God to the kingdom of the gods. In Apache's view, this was not a bad thing. That broken armor was very dangerous. It was precisely because it suddenly appeared in his life that his life was shrouded in disaster. And now it suddenly left... This couldn't be any better.

However, Apache was no longer able to return to his peaceful life.

In that battle, the raging storm had destroyed half of the village. Although those enemies were swept away, it still caused serious damage to the village. Fortunately, the God of Snakes, who was in charge of protecting the corn harvest, was very generous. He sent 100 Serpent People to be in charge of rebuilding the village. However, the Serpent People went to Apache's head.

"The only son of Yig here is dead." The Serpent People holding the cane looked at Apache. "Who else do we know besides you in this place?"

"Yig..." Apache put some ordinary tobacco into the tobacco pipe left by the elder. "Isn't the Snake God's name Kukulkan?"

"Yig, kukulkan, kuzalkoyar..." Serpent People found a place to sit down and said, "To you humans, this may be a problem worth worrying about. But the name is just a name. Gods are gods. "

"You are very talented." Serpent People rubbed his cane. "Are you really not considering becoming a priest of a god? You have seen the gods before, so it is not difficult to get along with them."

"I am not going." Apache shook his head and started to smoke clumsily. "This is my home."

"You..."

" Let go of me! "

A loud noise interrupted the conversation between Apache and the Serpent People. Two strong Serpent People escorted a villager in.

"Let me go! You bunch of monsters!" The villagers struggled as they roared, "Give me the thorn! Let me see him! He will give you eternal life! "

Another...

Apache let out a breath of smoke and sighed.

That night's bloody battle had already gone on for a period of time, but the aftermath was still there. Some of the villagers who were hiding in their homes were swept away by the storm that had destroyed half of the village. The remaining villagers were even crazy enough to turn into living corpses.

The snakemen seemed to know some insider information, but the explanation they gave was very vague. The snakemen only said that these villagers saw something they shouldn't have seen in the storm, and suggested Apache to kill all of these people who had gone mad. However, facing these people, how could Apache do anything to them?

"Take them down and lock them up."

Looking at the silent Apache, the Serpent People holding the cane helplessly ordered.

"They..." Apache smoked the cigarette and frowned. "What is going on?"

"If you choose to continue your life, there are some things that you should not know." Serpent People looked at Apache and shook his head. "Undead, storm. Just think of it as a natural disaster. There's no need to know so clearly."

" Of course. If you choose to become Yig's son, I will tell you everything. " The Serpent People took a deep look at the tobacco pipe in Apache's hand. "This information is very dangerous. Yig's son's identity is to protect you and everyone here."

The son of Yig... Protect?

Apache was stunned.

"Forget it, I can give you an early warning." The Serpent People hissed and hissed, "This is just the beginning."

Start...?

Apache frowned.

"What start?"

"It has nothing to do with you humans. It has nothing to do with you humans."

The Serpent People's reply was still ambiguous.

"Don't even think about it." Looking at Apache, who was frowning and smoking, the Serpent People shook his head. "You won't be able to tell the truth. If you can really tell the truth... did you see the madman who was pulled away just now? The first one who should be killed is you."

"Is it... a battle between gods?" Apache recalled those myths and legends, "The enemy is the War God, the God of Darkness, and the Demon God?"

"You are really..." Serpent People smiled helplessly, "What can those few things count as? I was just teasing them. They don't even have the qualifications to see the true body of our Lord."

" Join Yig's son. " The Serpent People pointed at the tobacco pipe in Apache's hand, "Don't let down his expectations."

Expectation...?

Apache stared blankly at the tobacco pipe in his hand, as if he could see the Snake-Legged Elder's wrinkled face.

"Alright."

"You have agreed to it?"

The Serpent People was somewhat surprised.

"Yes, someone has to shoulder the responsibility."

"Alright then, there are some things I need to explain to you."

Serpent People rubbed his cane.

"Your guess is correct. This is indeed a war between gods, but it is not a small-scale war that you understand."

The Serpent People stared into Apache's eyes.

"This is a real war."

"Another god invaded our Lord's territory and was driven away by our Lord. The reason you saw those crazy humans was because you saw the true body of another god."

Serpent People pondered for a moment, but still did not say that the storm that had destroyed half of the village was caused by the Snake God.

"Those spikes were originally from another god. Part of it. Do you understand what I'm saying? "

A part of the god's... part? Will it turn a person into a living corpse?

Apache sucked in a breath of cold air.

"That god... is it an Evil God?"

"It's not a problem for you to say that." The Serpent People stuck out its tongue. "Originally, your place was supposed to be the front line, and it was supposed to be divided into a war zone. You will be moving into the army of two Yig's sons. However, there is a powerful existence who has reached an agreement with our Lord to build a... cigarette factory here? That seems to be the case. Processing tobacco for trade."

"Cigarettes..." Apache frowned as he looked at the Serpent People. "Then what about the food?"

"My Lord will bless your harvest."

"The Snake God also said that he will bless our harvest, but this year's corn is still apologetically collected."

"This... This year, our Lord is preparing to resist the invasion of another god. This is an exception. This will not happen next year."

Serpent People thought for a while. It was better for the god to not tell anyone about the rain because he had drunk too much.

"Well..." The Serpent People awkwardly changed the topic. "By the way, didn't you say you wanted to become the son of Yig? Now quickly settle this matter."

"What?" Apache looked at the Serpent People in confusion. "What ceremony is there to hold?"

"There's no need to go through so much trouble." The Serpent People took out something from behind and handed it over. "Put it on. You are the son of Yig."

Looking at the thing in his hand, Apache was silent for a long time.

It was a snow white snakeskin.
