Chasing After My Wife

HOUSE EXTENSION

HOUSE EXTENSION

1The next day, the sun shone brightly giving their room a warm feeling. Jillyanna had been awake since earlier and to her surprise, Travis was still asleep. Usually, it was her who wakes up late.      2

Knowing that he had been busy since he started living together with her, she just let him sleep for a little more. She just watched his sleeping face which looked so harmless.

'How did we even end up together? I couldn't remember at all.' She thought and dismissed the idea as well. She no longer wanted to think of the past. As much as possible, she wanted to move forward in her life together with the baby and him.

Half an hour passed and Travis wasn't awake yet and she's already hungry. She didn't want wake him up as well. Torn between getting up or wait for him, Jillyanna sighed and slowly removed his hands from her waist.

This move made Travis open his eyes in alert. "Where are you going?" he asked with restless eyes. He was obviously still sleepy but forced himself to get up.

In Jillyanna's eyes, the man looked cute and adorable. She hugged his waist again and slumped down on their bed. "I've been awake since half an hour ago and I am getting hungry. I thought of getting some food while you sleep."

Travis didn't know what to say. He was indeed sleeping peacefully beside her. "I'm sorry. I'll get up now."

"You can sleep if you want. I'll be back after eating." Jillyanna told him so that he can rest a little bit more.

Travis kissed her forehead as he rubbed her head. "It's fine. I have to work today as well."

"Work? You mean we're going to Venus Plaza? We've never gone out since the incident at home."

"Yup. We will be going to Venus Plaza in the afternoon. I just need to check on some people."

"Okay." Jillyanna nodded her head obediently. She knew exactly what Travis meant about checking someone. 'He must've caught the person already.' She noted mentally to herself.

They both got up, washed their faces and brushed their teeth. They went down together after but Jillyanna stopped midway and was holding on to his hand tightly.

"What's wrong?" Travis inquired in worry. She was just closing her eyes without saying anything.

When she opened it again, she smiled. "I got dizzy for a moment. I am fine now."

"Are you sure? Why don't we go to the doctor?" he was massaging her temples for her with anxious face.

"This is normal during pregnancy. I am really fine. Don't worry." she reassured him to let the matter go.

"O-okay." he reluctantly agreed and continued to walk to the kitchen.

Auntie Fei was the one assigned for cooking today and she just finished making a nutritious porridge for her. There was a plate of sliced fruits as well as a glass of milk.

For Travis, he just ate whatever the others ate. He wasn't picky at all and she trusted the women that Savannah picked.

"Auntie Fei, do you have a family? If you want to visit them, just tell me okay? I will give you a day off." Jillyanna opened up since she knew how difficult it is to be away from the people you love.

The woman turned around to face her with a sad smile. "Thank you so much for the offer Ma'am Jillyanna but Sisi and I don't have a family. Our parents died when we were still in high school due to a fire."

"I'm sorry to hear about that." Jillyanna spoke in a low voice. It wasn't her intention to open and old wound.

Auntie Fei just waved her hand in dismissal. "It's fine. It is not a big issue."

Jillyanna nodded her head and continued eating. She wanted to ask why she didn't get married but she dismissed her idea since it was a bit sensitive topic already.

Travis was reading a newspaper when an idea popped out of his head. "Wifey, why don't we make an extension of the house?"

"Why are you suddenly thinking about that?" she inquired since they never talk about this topic before.

Travis put down the newspaper and faced her directly. I was just thinking that we'd have to build a room for our baby. We also need to get rooms for the body guards. There's also a guest room for dad in case he visits us. Jenny, too. She no longer have a family and you've always wanted to make her live with you. I guess she was being considerate to us since there's not enough space for the whole family and friends."

Jillyanna realized this too and she knew he's got a point. She always wanted to make an extension of the house but she's afraid that the garden will be ruined during construction.

"I actually agree with your idea. We can make an extension on the left wing but during construction, the garden shouldn't be damaged. You've got to think a way how to do that."

"No problem. Leave it to me. When do you want this to be started?"

"It is up to you." Since it was his plan then she'd leave everything to him.

"We'll have it start next week and while the construction is on going, we'll stay in the hacienda."

"Okay."

Travis immediately took action. She watched him make phone calls after phone calls while she continued to eat.

When they finished eating, they walked to the living room and he made another phone call again. This time, his face no longer hold the excitement about the house. His face turned serious and there was a dangerous glint in his eyes.

Jillyanna wondered what happened but she didn't inquire until the phone call ended. Be it bad or good, she wanted to know what it was all about.

"What happened? You look like you want to kill someone." Jillyanna joked to lighten up his mood.

He sat down beside her and took hold of her hand to kiss her knuckles. "Looks like the problem I have is a bit complicated. Anyway, we will know the details soon. Some private investigators will be coming over to report."

Jillyanna leaned on his shoulder to rest her head. "It's fine. Everything will be alright."
