Chasing After My Wife

RED ROSES

RED ROSES

4As they had agreed, Jillyanna and Travis stayed at the hacienda to help Winter and Gabriel. Since Savannah and Hawk had to accompany Travis to work, they stayed as well.     1

Only Brown, Valkyrie and Shein left to go back to Jillyanna's house.

When next morning came, Jillyanna woke up early and prepared the clothes that Travis will use.

"You don't really have to do this. You can still sleep and wake up later." Travis spoke to her after taking a bath and changing his clothes. Jillyanna was currently helping him with his neck tie.

"This is the least I could do for you since I can't come with you to the office."

Travis reached out to her and wrapped his hand around his waist. "Take care of yourself. We have helpers here so you don't have to move around so much. Call me if you need anything."

"Hn. I'll make sure to do that."

They hugged each other for a while before breakfast was served. Starting that day, they rarely spend time together but Travis didn't cease to surprise her at all.

During lunch break, she received a huge bouquet of red roses from him.

-To my dearest wife, these flowers can't even compare to you but the color of them made me remember your flushed cheeks. I miss you.

"What's gotten into him?" Jillyanna asked with a raised brow but her heart was beating like crazy and she couldn't help herself from smiling happily.

"Travis sent that?" Winter asked Jillyanna without assurance that she heard her but Jillyanna nodded her head. "I bet he missed you so much now that you are staying at home." Jillyanna nodded again and showed her the small piece of paper.

Winter couldn't help but smile at the silly yet heart warming words from his cousin. She was really happy for Jillyanna and for having a friend like her.

Jillyanna took out her phone and typed something. "Do you want to bake? I want to eat sweets."

"Travis will kick me if he found out that you eat sweets again." Winter refused knowing how cautious Travis was with Jillyanna's pregnancy.

Jillyanna typed again. "Just a little bit."

"Fine."

Winter stood up and walked to the kitchen with Jillyanna following behind her, still giggling and smelling the flowers she got.

While Avery prepared the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies, Jillyanna arranged the flowers in a vase and placed it on the center table.

"So lovely." she mumbled happily before calling Travis. It didn't take long before he picked it up and answered.

"Did you get the flowers?"

"Hn. I love it. Thank you."

"I'm glad you like it. I feel like courting you everyday."

"You're making fun of me again. Anyway, have you eaten?"

"Savannah, Hawk and I are having lunch right now. How about you?"

"Done! I'm making sweets with Winter. I'm eating just a little bit of sweets."

"You don't need to eat sweets, you are sweet enough."

Savannah coughed profusely hearing such remark from him. Even Jillyanna laughed at this but she was also blushing.

"I know. You wouldn't eat me if I am not." Jillyanna teased him which made Travis chuckle.

"Even if you aren't sweet, I will still do the same."

She didn't know why but, talking to him like this was even sweeter and romantic for her. Since they got back together, it was very seldom that she and Travis were far from each other. Almost all the time, she was right beside him.

"Your shamelessness never changed. Finish your lunch now, I'll go back to Winter and helped her."

"Okay. Call me if anything comes up."

"Hn. Love you."

"I love you too Jill."

This had become a habit already. There's not a single day that passed without these words being said. Anyone would be envious just like Savannah who was currently glaring at Hawk.

"Did I do something wrong?" Hawk asked in wonder. He was just eating peacefully beside her but she earned a glare from her.

Savannah rolled her eyes and continued eating. 'Why is my boyfriend so dense? How did we even end up together?!' Savannah questioned herself but she couldn't find the answer either.

Back at the mansion, Winter was busy mixing the ingredients when Gabriel went down with the help of Uncle Wesley who was actually the driver of Thomas. Since Thomas didn't usually go out, he didn't have much work. Thus, he decided to help Gabriel instead.

Gabriel went to the kitchen and found Jillyanna and Winter there, happily making something.

Winter noticed him and just threw a glance before going back to pressing the dough without saying anything.

"What are you making?" Gabriel asked Jillyanna as Wesley pushed his wheelchair near the dining table.

"We are making chocolate chip cookies. Do you need anything?" Jillyanna answered and questioned him as well.

"Oh I'm fine. I just wanted to come out."

"I see. Do you want to go to the hacienda later? Winter and I were planning to go there and share these cookies."

"Would that be fine? I certainly want to go."

Jillyanna looked back to Winter who didn't hear anything they talked about before shifting her eyes to Gabriel.

"Gabriel, this is the time for you to make up your mind. Either you stay with her or leave her, we will respect your decision but you have to decide now. Your existence is both a wound and a cure to her so you need to choose where you stand."

Gabriel looked at Jillyanna and smile. He could see that she genuinely cared for Winter and was thinking about her being.

"I understand your worry Jill. Actually, the moment I set foot here again, I have decided to stay with her. I'll do my best to fix our relationship and start over again."

"I'm glad to know that."

"By the way..." Gabriel was looking at the beautiful flowers on the table. "I didn't see these flowers in the garden, is this grown at the hacienda?"

"Nope. Travis gave it to me." Jillyanna answered with obvious bashful expression.
