She made eye contact and growled. Anger it was!
Flaring her nostrils, she took the farthest seat and self-served, ignoring when he passed a plate.

Suyin's anger flew out of the window, replacing it with a cheerful smile, and she opened her arms. "Little fairy!"
"Wow!" He paused, the school bag dropped, "What happened to your neck? Why are there so many bandages? Who did that?"

"Dad, what—" this time he paused in his words, "—and what happened to your lips? It was not there in the morning, who bit you?"

"A wildcat." Wang Shi answered, provoking Suyin.
"Little Fairy," Suyin beckoned Honey and showed her neck, "Monkey did this. Look!" From the corner of her eyes, she could see Wang Shi's brows twitched, his jaw clenched.

"Cat and monkey! In the hospital! On the top floor! What on earth happened in my absence?" he alternated his eyes and placed his soft fingers on Suyin's neck. He even forgot to look for his father's 'cat-bite' first. "Dad, do you think she needs a vaccine? Can monkeys cause rabies?"

Suyin winked.
Wang Shi crossed his arms, "She doesn't need any vaccine, but I need one."

Honey's eyes narrowed, "TELL ME THE TRUTH. BOTH OF YOU!"
"I scratched myself."
"I tripped."
Honey pointed his chubby fingers, "YOU, cut your nails, and YOU change your shoes." Instructing, he left for the lounge to change clothes, mumbling, "Weirdos! Cat and Monkey! Do they think I'm a kid!"
Behind him, the two smiled and high-fived.

Days passed by, and Suyin stayed in the Hospital. Courtesy, worrywart father-son duo. But this was the best time of her life, not because Wang Shi was there for her, but she got the opportunity to strengthen her bond with Honey.
The Little Fairy was truly a fairy of her life, her companion in quiet moments, and those blossoming of hilarity he always brings with him. Happy, angry, excited, serious, celebration, naughtiness, and endless laughter, they shared all the emotions in each other's company. The little human gave her the chance to pour her suppressed motherly love and warmth on to him, which she never got the opportunity to shower on her own son.
For the first time, she got a perfect competitor in 'Go'. Though the little man never won, he learned many tricks from her. Suyin finally understood what does lying on the stomach with a bag of chips and a video control means.
It means happiness! Laughter! Fights! AND..... more and more bantering!
Not to forget endless episodes of tom and jerry, giggling hard and mimicking actions to annoy Wang Shi.
In return, Honey got to feel what unconditional and pure love looks like. What having a friend looks like! He had seen Xiu Mei being like this with Yuyu and Lan, and to him as well…. But the one he got from Suyin was different. It was unparalleled, heart-touching, exclusive to him.
His favorite part was to play Video games with her, and then later defeating her. Ending it with a teasing dance by shaking bum, to which she used to fume in anger.
Had he not got the chance to spend time with her, he would have missed this side to her. She was not like those greedy women who were after his father's money and want to use him as a ladder to climb the Wang family. In fact, she's talented and had helped Wang Shi solve many cases that come these days.
He finally understood why she commands so much importance from his father!
Speaking of cases, he came to know she had been a doctor once but some people forced her to leave the practice. They claim she cheated in the exams! Initially, he was dubious and expressed his concern to Wang Shi.
However, Wang Shi didn't answer him and instead let him witness Suyin helping Wang Shi solve a case.
Honey was dumbfounded that day, and for the first time had a fan-boy moment!
Suyin was literally at par with Wang Shi if not above when it comes to medical knowledge. There's no way she cheated in exams, there must be a story behind it. Though he tried to ask her, she changed the topic.
Wang Shi pretended to be in the background and used to spend time with Suyin in Honey's absence or while discussing a case. He was happy with whatever little he got, but he was happiest seeing the two most important humans of his life giggling and bickering.
Suyin needed a change, and Honey gave her exactly that.
The idea of family of three was so beautiful that sometimes their scary past scares him. His determination to get things solved and keep Suyin by his side was getting stronger with each passing day.
And finally, he got the first clue today...
"Wang Shi, where are you taking me?"
Suyin was looking at the video recording sent by the cops when Wang Shi came into the lounge and dragged her by hand.
"You have watched it a hundred times already." He said.
The video recording was of the day when Gong Li died.
Apparently, according to cops, there isn't anything suspicious in Gong Li's death.
The actual truck driver had stopped by the roadside for a minute to buy a bottle of water and left the engine on. In his absence, the mentally unstable person hopped on to the truck and pressed the accelerator by mistake, hitting into Dr. Gong Li's car. In fact, this is the reason the driver dragged the car for a few meters and failed to press on brakes….. blah…. Blah…. Blah…
As if she will buy this stupid story!
