Mark of the destiny

I like his son, but I like him too.

I like his son, but I like him too.

3"Careless girl," Si Han muttered, taking fast strides to help Suyin, but Wang Shi was faster and snaked his hands around her waist. Without a care in the world, he put his left foot forward and make Suyin stand on it. Shocking her.

She hinted him with her eyes about the presence of her mother but he was busy making her stand comfortably. Annoyed, she pinched him. He looked down to see her red face, the morning glow of her face brought a smile on his.

"What happen? Is it hurting a lot? Endure it for a few minutes, because of body stiffness it's normal to hurt in the morning."

Hell! Who cares about the pain in front of Si Han's brooding stare!?

"M-Mom," she couldn't dare to look into her mother's.

"It's okay. Mrs. Si knows about me. She expressed her concerns over Honey and some other points, which are normal for a mother to ask. I hope I have given satisfactory answers? But if she has more, how about we sit and talk? I'll answer until she trusts me with her daughter." Though he answered Suyin's concern, his gaze looked into Si Han's. None of them planned to give up on Suyin.

James gave thumbs up to the man for not avoiding Si Han's sharp questions and even dared to hold Suyin so close in front of her.

"Mom…. He's the one I talked about. Dr. Wang Shi."

"Sweetheart, but you forget to add crucial information that he has a son." Si Han stared down at her, clearly unhappy and worried about her future. Though the equation they were sharing right now looked beautiful. But it could be a beautiful illusion as well.

"Does that matter? Honey is an inseparable part of him and so as me now. The most beautiful things are felt by heart and not seen or touched; weren't these your words? I did exactly that and felt both for him and Honey." Suyin reminded Si Han of her own words. "Any you had said something about…. Capable man, master of own life, better decisions... How did everything changed just because he has a son? "

 Si Han was rendered speechless.

"Mum, if you are thinking it's only because of Honey that I've said yes to him, it's not." Her eyes drifted to Wang Shi's handsome face, "I like his son, but I like him too. And I know…. I can trust him."

A peal of delight broke within him, shining through eyes. His woman being a filial daughter not only took care of her mother's concern but poured her feelings out.

"Me too," he brushed her hair away to see her soft expression, and bend down to give a kiss on her temple. "Honey is yours, forever. But with Honey, a complimentary Wang Shi will always come."

She tip-toed, "Though I don't like complimentary things, I will keep you."

"At your service, mam."

"Argh! Bullies! I'm missing my hubby now." James walked out with a hand over his eyes. For if he had stayed longer, he might have had puked blood.

Si Han's stern expression thawed when she saw Wang Shi and Suyin genuinely happy with each other. Though they claimed to 'like' each other, somewhere they had crossed that stage. Everything was apparent in their eyes. Naïve people! They haven't realized it yet.

She touched Suyin's cheeks, "I just want to see you happy. FOREVER. If this is what your heart wants, then be it." She didn't forget to throw a long warning gaze at Wang Shi before walking away.

"Are you leaving,"

"Yup, I'm not mad to baby-sit you. Have to buy things to set the store."

Wang Shi hastily helped her to the couch and ran after Si Han, catching her right before the elevator could close.

"Mrs. Si...."

"You better not disappoint me. She had already seen a lot at a young age, now no more."

He nodded.

********

He returned and caught her walking out of the bathroom and didn't waste a single second to take her in his arms and swirl around.

She and Honey are the precious gifts he was given by God. And he will cherish them forever. Especially her! No matter what life throws at him, even if it requires putting his life at stake, he would make sure to fix things between them.

He would not let past break their perfect family of three. He would not deprive his son of the motherly care and love he had never felt. He would not deprive himself of the much needed. He would not let her live alone and cry for her baby. Not anymore.

Not anymore!

"Ah, Wang Shi!" her hands sifted through his hair, making him infinitely relaxed and happy.

Holding her, he fell down on the couch, his head bent to kiss her, tasting the mint of her toothpaste which he disapproved of, missing the sweet flavor that's uniquely hers. "You brushed!"

"Because I want to be prepared for this….." She pulled his head and dived for a kiss, matching the rhythm with his. She had heard everything that he had said to her mother. His words wrapped around her and brough peace she had never felt before.

Unknowingly he had given her the hope for their future. Future with Honey and him.

The wave that runs through her was intoxicating, making her head spin as she pulled back to take much-needed breaths and see his handsome face before diving in for the other kiss.

"Hm?" she touched his face, "What's wrong? You seem stressed. Tell me."

Wang Shi lied down with her on the couch, and pulled her above him, careful of her back injury. It surprised him she could see right through him.

He tugged her falling hair at the back of her ear. "Nothing. Just work stress."

"Doesn't seem so. Talk about it."

"I don't know."

"Wang Shi--"

"I just want to hug you."

"And I want to help you. Talk to me."

His lips pursed into a thin line at her persistence.
